Torch Of Desires

The morning embraced my humble presence,
As I artfully designed the torch of desires,
It’s splendid appearance a tremendous sight,
But even more when I lit its tip on fire

The grass that burns so precious and pretty,
Its gaseous form my sumptuous breakfast,
Between my fingers it rests in ease,
How could the world term this torch ‘accursed’?

The quantum world lost in pride and ego,
Shutting the important doors of perception,
Taking the holy smoke of our lips,
Imprisoning us in their cells of deception

This torch, this magnificent holy beacon,
That leads those lost deep in sea,
Showing the way to our long sought peace,
Teaching us to enjoy a simple cup of tea

Why does the world so sinfully reject?
Nature’s priceless benevolent gift
She only wishes us to find what we seek,
The peace that will close our soul’s largest rift

A peace so comforting our minds perceive it not,
A peace soul-cradling with divine long arms,
Tending to the deep wounds which wastefully bleed,
The torch of desires which rests in my palm

Why is the world so sinfully stubborn?
Such narrow minds, so sinfully narrow,
Originally programmed to be free and open,
But eventually reducing to the mind of a sparrow

Making food taste better than it’s meant to,
Making the air smell sweeter than it is,
Helping us let go those irrational fears,
The torch of desires, the ticket to bliss

The torch shall burn bright as the sun,
Kindling a flame in the minds of men
We shall embrace nature’s loving gift,
And see peace play its vital role again
