Roses And Blood

Oh I know, the good and bad,

The soul market, the tinted lies,

The twisted clown, his nose in action,

The captured man with his heaven needle

The teenage boy, his bloodshot eyes,

The desperate man, his darling bottle

Somehow the world a great old ocean,

Salted with sweet red roses and blood

Yes I know, the charming lady,

Her secret desire that burns so slowly

The teenage girl, her bleeding lip,

Torn by some ungrateful thorn

The clever man who tries to fly,

But instead swims in his pool of science

Somehow the world a great old ocean,

Salted with sweet red roses and blood

Fattened calves and the new born baby,

Equated in a great divine sacrifice

Pain for pleasure, misery for comfort,

The mighty spinning wheel of trustworthy reason

The senseless poet, the wise philosopher,

Both choose lies with different intents

Somehow the world a great old ocean,

Salted with sweet red roses and blood

I know, I feel, your beating heart,

Hungry for heaven, thirsty for love

Asking the wind your dearest questions,

With faith that stands like a peak-less mountain

Do not fear the cliffs of doubt,

The answer has yes, almost arrived

Somehow the world a great old ocean,

Salted with sweet red roses and blood

The clouds can float, the sun can rise,

But do you know that you can live?

The Earth can move, the stars can twinkle,

But do you know that you can love?

The wind is singing, begin to dance,

Heaven has opened, open your eyes

Somehow the world a great old ocean,

Salted with sweet red roses and blood
